Andie started making costume as a hobby in 2007 after developing M.E. It gave her something to channel her creative side into around her illness.

What started as a hobby, where she would ocassionally get the sewing machine out for a day or two at a time, very quickly became so much more.

Word of mouth took over, and soon there were enough requests for her to be sewing in all of her free time.

In the summer of 2012, she was asked to take part in Art:Fashion. This was fashion show where 5 designers made 4 pieces in 4 days, which local artists then used as their canvas. This really sealed her love of creating costume and is still one of her favourite periods of her career.

In November 2013, her circumstances changed drastically, and she was given the opportunity to turn her part-time hobby into a full time job. Since then she has never looked back:

"I love my job, it is never a chore to get up in the morning and get behind the sewing machine or at the sketch book;

"The first part of the order process is exciting for me, talking to the customer, sketching designs is fantastic. Seeing where their passion is, what their ideal look or feel is. Their reaction when they see the sketches, fabric choices is usually so positive. Many comment on how spot on I am, just with a conversation with them.

"My customers are some of the best anyone could hope for, and their reactions to my finished work is the best kind of motivation.

"Fox's Box Costume is the best job I have ever had, and I credit a lot of my recovery, the way I have coped with M.E and moved forward, to running this business."
